The 1st and 2nd Berlinale in Sendai
With the official support of the Berlin International Film Festival, the 2nd Berlinale in Sendai was held in 2014, following the first (in 2013).
The event was held in Sendai in Miyagi Prefecture in hopes of offering guidance for Japan on its way to reconstruction and for children who bear the future of Japan.
We showed the selection from the Generation section of the Berlin International Film Festival, with a total of 4,500 people visiting.
Our aim is for the Berlinale in Sendai to take root locally and become a regular event that continues for decades.
